If you are a business owner or are responsible for taxes in your company, would you consider helping to fund scholarships at Greater Works Christian School for tax credits?
General Information:
Through the Children’s Tuition Fund (CTF) and Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), businesses paying taxes in Pennsylvania can receive a tax credit for up to 90 percent of their taxes when they make a contribution to an educational or scholarship organization. Contributions can be in the form of a donation of cash, personal property or services.
The CTF EITC program allows participation from businesses paying any of the following taxes – Corporate Net Income Tax; Capital Stock Franchise Tax, Bank and Trust Company Shares Tax; Title Insurance Companies Shares Tax; Title Insurance Premiums Tax; or Mutual Thrift Institution Tax.
How it Works:
For more information on the EITC program, contact Char Satira in the Office at 724-327-6500, ext. 135 or csatira@greaterworkschristianschool.org
Your participation in the EITC will be a blessing to our families while providing a generous tax credit for your business.
Through the Children’s Tuition Fund (CTF) and Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC), many families, grandparents, alumni, and other supporters who have a Pennsylvania tax liability can support the mission of our school and help provide educational opportunities for students.. This allows eligible families and supporters to direct a portion of their state tax dollars toward Christ-centered education rather than sending all of those tax dollars to the state.
How it Works:
Participation begins by completing a Joinder Agreement. Once enrolled, contributions can begin right away.

To help determine whether participation makes sense for your situation, you can access the tax liability calculator located under the SPE tab on the Contributors Page. This tool can help estimate your potential tax credit based on your tax liability.
Important Things to Consider:
While this program provides substantial tax benefits, it may not be the best fit for everyone.
Before participating, please consider the following:
Even though you participate through the program, you will continue filing your taxes as an individual just as you always have. The primary difference is the timing of when you receive the tax benefit.
Many participants receive a state tax credit equal to approximately 90% of their contribution. The remaining 10% may provide additional federal tax benefits, depending on your individual tax situation. We encourage you to consult your tax advisor regarding your specific circumstances.
This program can be especially beneficial for:
There are two primary application periods each year:
Because application windows are limited, we encourage families to learn about the program early and ask questions throughout the year.
Your participation in the EITC will be a blessing to our families while providing a generous tax credit for your business.
