CURRICULUM

The curriculum at Greater Works Christian School for this age group is designed to develop the “whole child” intellectually, physically, socially and spiritually. It is based on learning through play, and our daily routine consists of  activities the children love to do — art projects, puzzles, manipulative toys, dramatic play objects. We offer tables filled with developmental and curriculum-based items, all designed to enhance their development and answer their questions about their world! Most days begin with circle time focusing on cognitive development, and includes songs, puzzles, finger puppets, games, or reading a story. The month, day of the week, pledge to the flag, and a prayer are included in this segment — maybe even an experiment or two! The three year old class will go to the playground, have lunch, and will also spend time in their nap room. An afternoon circle time is provided for the Bible story and scripture verse for the week. Students will bring a packed lunch daily and eat in their classroom.
Please write your child’s name on everything. Please bring in your child’s school supplies during parent/teacher orientation, and place in your child’s locker. We will also need to know who will be picking up your child.
