School Closing & Delay Procedure

To All Bus Riders/Parent Drivers:
School delays/closings are listed on KDKA, WTAE, and WPXI stations. You will also receive a text from our alert system if there are any delays or closures.

NOTICE:
FOR ALL SNOW DELAYS/CLOSINGS

• If your school district has a delay or closing and G.W.C.S. remains open, follow your school district’s bus schedule. If you are unable to transport your child to school, he/she will be marked absent (excused) for the day.
• If G.W.C.S. has a 2 hour delay and your school district does not, you are responsible for bringing your child to school at 10:30am. If you are unable to transport your child to school, he/she will be marked absent (excused) for the day.
• If your public school district has an early dismissal, G.W.C.S. will dismiss all students that ride the bus at the specified time.

FOR ALL G.W.C.S. STUDENTS

ONE-HOUR DELAY – Students are to report AFTER 9:00
(9:30 STARTING TIME)

TWO-HOUR DELAY- Students are to report AFTER 10:00
(10:30 STARTING TIME)

G.W.C.S. CLOSED- Students are NOT TO REPORT to school
