2nd Grade

Dear Parents,

Welcome! My name is Cindy Bauer and I am the second grade teacher. I am blessed to have the opportunity to teach at Greater Works Christian School. I am a graduate of Carlow College with a degree in Elementary Education and I hold a PA Instructional I certificate. Before the birth of my daughter, I taught second grade for seven years. My most recent teaching experience has been instructing reading and tutoring to elementary students using Orton-Gillingham based methods. I have also been trained in visual phonics.

I have three children and a dog, Maggie. My oldest daughter will be a junior in college, my middle son will be a senior in high school, and my youngest son will enter into the eighth grade. In my spare time I enjoy being active with my family, reading, running, and baking.I gave my life to Christ 14 years ago. I was walking on a treadmill and reading a book by Joyce Meyers. My family and I have been active in our church ever since. I have served in the helps, children’s, and outreach ministries. All three of my children have been involved in serving at our church. My favorite bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”

My classroom is a welcoming, safe, nonthreatening, and caring environment. From the moment my students enter my classroom, I want them to feel loved, cared for, and respected. I look forward to meeting you and your students!

Blessings!

Ms. Cindy Bauer
